What did survival create?
Patterns, strengths, fears, instincts, identities, and habits that once had a job to do.
Created by Christina Hester
They do not have to be literal. Grief. Trauma. Illness. Addiction. Betrayal. Burnout. Failure. Losing someone. Losing yourself. The bloodstain is what happened. The breakthrough is what you choose, learn, build, change, or become afterward.
Your story did not end with the bloodstain.
What are your bloodstains?
Everybody carries something. Bloodstains can be visible or invisible, recent or decades old, dramatic or deeply private. There is no ranking system here. Pain does not need to win a contest before it counts.
The point is not to make the bloodstain your identity. The point is to recognize what happened, understand what it shaped, and decide what gets to happen next.
Surviving was step one
People teach us how to get through the emergency. Hold on. Push through. Keep moving. Be strong.
Then the emergency ends, the room gets quiet, and almost nobody tells you how to live when you are no longer just trying to make it through the day.
Bloodstains & Breakthroughs occupies that gap: survival → understanding → rebuilding → forward movement.
Patterns, strengths, fears, instincts, identities, and habits that once had a job to do.
Keep what protects your values. Question what only protected an old emergency.
Not a perfect ending. A deliberate next step you can actually live.
A breakthrough can be quiet
A breakthrough may be something no one applauds because no one else sees how much it took.
The Breakthrough Bulletin
The list is where the real relationship lives. Social media can introduce us. The Bulletin is how we keep the conversation going when the algorithm moves on.
Bloodstains to Breakthroughs workshops
These educational, reflection-based experiences are being developed around what survival created, what no longer serves you, and what comes next. Join the list for first access as workshops are announced.
Bloodstains & Breakthroughs media
Sometimes the first breakthrough is hearing someone say the thing you thought only you carried.

Deeper context
Christina's full Women in Power feature connects crime scene work, loss, leadership, rebuilding, and the mission she built from it.
Watch the full feature →Why Christina created this
Christina Hester spent years examining what happened at literal crime scenes. Her own life also required her to rebuild through loss, illness, career change, and major life disruption.
Bloodstains & Breakthroughs asks the question that kept following her beyond the scene: What happens to the people who are still standing afterward?
This platform was created from Christina's story, but it is not only about Christina. It exists because everybody has their own bloodstains, and surviving something does not automatically teach you how to live beyond it.
The community-side bridge
Bloodstains & Breakthroughs is about the story and the rebuilding. St;ll Here Society is about not rebuilding alone.
Bloodstains & Breakthroughs asks, “What happened, and what happens next?” St;ll Here Society answers, “You are still here. Now what do we build from here?” It is a community extension centered on connection, belonging, and continued rebuilding. It is not a paid membership and it is not therapy.

The bloodstain may always be part of your story. It does not have to be the final chapter.
